Some common box and display types are listed below. It's a lot of "box lingo" but, don't worry, you don't need to speak the language to get exactly what you need.

Examples of Displays

RSC - Regular Slotted Container The two longest outer flaps meet in the middle and are taped shut at the top and bottom.

Bliss Box The three pieces of a bliss box include two identical end panels and a body that folds to form the two side panels, an unbroken bottom and the top. Flaps used to form the joints can be on the end pieces or the body or both. The end panels are attached to the body with special equipment usually at the user's plant. Six or more joints must be sealed to set up the box before it is filled. They are also called rigid boxes.

Tuck Folder One piece of board is cut so that it provides a flat, unbroken bottom, with flaps forming the sides and ends, and extensions of the side flaps meeting to form the top.

FTD - Full Telescope Half-Slotted Box The two-piece box has a full depth cover that completely slides over the body, giving additional compression strength when stacking large or heavier items. The flaps are usually stapled.

HSC - Half Slotted Container Like an RSC, the two longest outer flaps meet in the middle but are taped shut at the bottom only. The top has no flaps and remains open.

Rollover Die Cut Easy to assemble, the side panels roll over and tuck into the bottom of the die cut. The top panel has two ears that easily tuck into the roll-over edges. Great for retail packaging, mailer programs, and sales/promo kits.

Five Panel Folder Single-cut corrugated sheets are scored and feature a fifth panel that is used as the closing flap. The product is placed on the board, and then the box "wraps" around it and is taped at each end. Ideal for long items with a small diameter for providing good stacking strength and protection.

One Piece Folder The flat bottom and the flaps wrap around the item so the side flaps meet at the top of the carton and are taped together for secure shipment.

FOL - Full-Overlap Slotted Container The two longest outer flaps overlap each other within one inch of a complete overlap. The overlapping flaps provide added strength for stacking and edge protection.

Self-Erecting Box Easy to assemble manually in one quick action, self-erecting boxes typically feature regular slotted containers or telescope-style tops with a base designed to simply fold out and automatically interlock without tape or adhesive.

Dump Bins

These open-topped containers are filled with loose, small bulk items and placed in high-traffic areas or at the checkout to promote impulse buys. Most Dump Bins are square.

Pre-filled Counter Displays hold a small number of products and are easily placed on a shelf or counter.

Pallet Displays

As expected, a Pallet Display is sized to fit on a 40" x 48" pallet for easy transport to a store and is fully stocked with a large volume of product. Pallet Displays can be made in Half Pallet and Quarter Pallet sizes and include Club Store Displays that comply with all specifications of the club store.

Half-Pallet Displays

As its name says, a Half-Pallet Display fits on half of a standard pallet and holds your product for easy transport directly to the store.

Again, as its name says, a Quarter-Pallet Display fits on a quarter of a standard pallet size and holds your product for easy transport directly to the store.

Floor Displays

Floor Displays are free-standing displays placed in high-traffic areas to promote new products or boost sales of current products. The vertical design of the base-tray-riser set shown allows it to hold a large amount of product and be placed directly in the aisle while limiting the use of floor space.
